Mitchell Sharpe

Mitch Sharpe is the owner of SMR Service LLC, an auto repair shop in Freeland. He opened the business in August, 2020. SMR repairs brakes, tires, exhausts, and suspensions, and performs engine diagnostics. SMR is also an authorized Pennsylvania state inspection and emissions station.

Mitch realized his passion for cars at a young age working at his uncle’s shop, Mattie’s Service Center, in Connecticut. He graduated Weatherly High School and then received a certificate in car and truck mechanics at Universal Technical Institute. After graduating, he gained experience at several jobs working on a variety of machines, such as equipment, tractor trailers, small engines, and automobiles. He is now the proud owner of his own repair and inspections shop.

Mitch joined Hazleton Area Networking Association (HANA) in 2021. Since joining HANA, he has grown his business with the help of HANA members spreading word, offering referrals, and getting their own vehicles repaired at SMR. Through HANA, Mitch has learned a lot about other local businesses, and he is thankful to be a member.
